4 Year Old Pre-Kindergarten

The Pre-K program is for children who are going to be entering kindergarten the following year. This class allows your child to further develop socially and emotionally in a smaller class setting to ensure their success in kindergarten. Children work on developing independence, friendship, self help skills, conflict resolution skills, sharing and listening to others. This class involves a hands-on learning environment; interacting with peers, teachers, community and parents. The focus is project based and geared towards school readiness through the Animated Literacy and Handwriting Without Tears programs. Classes also include journal writing, math, science, cooking, movement and an introduction to Kodaly based music programming weekly.

Pre-K - AM - Mon/Wed/Fri from 9:00 - 11:15 am          $125.00 per month

Pre-K - PM - Mon/Wed/Fri from 12:45 - 3:00 pm pm        $125.00 per month

SPECIAL COMBO - Pre-K PM/Fine Arts for $215/month, save $25 for 5 afternoons a week!!

This class has a maximum of 16 students, with 2 qualified teachers. Children must be 4 years old by December 31 of the current school year.

PLEASE NOTE

Woodvale Playschool is a registered non-profit program of the Woodvale Community League. As such we require parents to obtain a community league membership in their community for the upcoming school year.

Our School is a Parent Cooperative school, without roster or cleaning days and has one scheduled Bingo. Parents must provide a $50.00 cheque to help cover cleaning costs and a cheque for $200.00 that will be returned to them after they have worked their scheduled Bingo.

There is a registration fee of $100, $50 of this goes towards September fees.
